Sergio Fernandez – Owner

I was born and raised in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Growing up I always had a passion for cooking and always dreamed that one day I would own my own bar/restaurant, but my family business took me in another direction. When my brother-in-law, Jay Trautmann, came to me with the idea of opening a Bar with a small food menu I jumped at the opportunity.

Laredo is such a great city and is growing immensely but I always felt it lacked more culture and night life. With Culture Social Bar we want to bring more excitement and diversity to Laredo and its people.

I was born and raised in Laredo, TX and after high school I followed in my father’s footsteps and became a builder. As a builder I’ve seen Laredo go through a lot of growth and change. Over the years I had thought often if there was something I could do to bring more change to Laredo. I have always had a passion for entertaining friends and family. After years of wanting to open my own bar/restaurant in Laredo, I finally decided to take a leap of faith. With Culture Social Bar I want to entertain the people of Laredo with great drinks, food, music and ambiance.

Culture Social Bar transcends traditional nightlife on every level. From its easily accessible location; gold, plush and leather accents; exquisite cocktail and food menu; rich media displays; bar areas with VIP seating; and intimate spaces equipped with phone charging stations and Wifi.
